Order of Operations

When solving equations you should always follow these rules:
Do what's in PARENTHESES FIRST
Evaluate EXPONENTS SECOND
Perform DIVISION AND MULTIPLICATION working from LEFT TO RIGHT as you ENCOUNTER them.
Perform SUBTRACTION AND ADDITION working from LEFT TO RIGHT as you ENCOUNTER them.
1.) 5 + 2(18 ­ 6/2 * 3 + 4)
2.) (6/3 *4 ­7 + 7*3)/4 ­ 2
