Expression of Interest (E.O.I) are invited by the Director, Directorate of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of
West Bengal, from professionals experienced (minimum five years) and reputed private consultants/agencies
for conducting “Survey on Food Processing Industries” throughout the State of West Bengal.

Interested consultants/agency are requested to submit their proposals with technical and financial bid
separately in two sealed envelopes super scribing it “Survey on Food Processing Industries” made within 7th
February’ 2016 between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on any working day. The technical bids will be opened on 8th
February, 2016 at 11-30 a.m. and the financial bids on 11th February, 2016 at 4 p.m. The application form can
be downloaded from the website www.ipshabengal.com
EOI must be submitted in properly sealed envelope.

The survey has to be conducted by way of questionnaires, field study and other appropriate survey
methodologies. The survey would cover various food processing industries in which investment is above Rs. 10
lakh to carry out a comprehensive competitive analysis & assessment of the Food Processing Sector in West
Bengal. The main function of the survey shall be to make a list of food/foodstuff manufacturing units in the
state with annual turnover of more than Rs. 12 lakh in 2014-15. Exact locations of the industries shall have to
be specified.
For submission of EOI, special emphasis may please be emphasized for the following Technical details:
(a) Type of organization, date of establishment, financial stability (turn over) etc. with supporting documents.
(b) Strength/specialization relevant to the scope of work and objective
(c) Relevant experience in survey of industries including experience in industry stack sampling, field surveys,
etc.
(d) Details of key staff to be entrusted for the survey with their curriculum vitae. These details should be
specified in terms of the number of teams available to work during survey period.
(e) Areas/cluster wise industries proposed for survey and expected timeline to complete the same.
(f) No financial bid / offer are required to be submitted with Expression of Interest. Financial offer shall be
invited after the Technical Interaction meet.
The Directorate of Food Processing Industries, Government of West Bengal reserves the right not to consider any of
the proposals without assigning any reasons at any point of time whatsoever.
